OPEN STUDIOS - Middlesex County
October 19 - 20th, 2002
10am - 3pm

I showed my work at Evos Arts, 98 Middle Street, in the gallery upstairs, along with Patrick Mogan Pollard and Walter Wright. All in all, it was an amazing time.

We had almost 20 artists participating in this, the first year. Next time? Jodi and I bet that there will be many, many more of us.

Artist Statement:

Being a writer and a painter has its advantages. The little dramas that play out, both real and imaginary, become images. Pictures then become stories. Sometimes the images come first, then the titles. Sometimes it's the other way around. Painting in acrylic allows me to work quickly and expressively, the same way in which my characters react to one another.

Laura took all of these photos. Here's me and my art, looking pretty happy. Seriously, my face hurt from smiling so much that day.
