I spent the weekend in Ohio, which was both fun and a little depressing. Actually, Ohio wasn’t depressing; I was just depressed is all, like I have been for the last couple of weeks.

The stress of trying to sell the condo (not much happening there), looking for a house (found a bunch we like, but can’t buy until we sell), and my general feeling of being too fat, not smart enough, etc., has really been taking its toll on me in a big way.

The days of rain haven’t helped either.

But yesterday, come noon, I decided to say "what the hell" and go out for a run. It was raining pretty steadily, but by the time I realized it I was already dressed, so I headed out into the rain. And you know, in spite of forgetting my hat and getting soaked by a passing car, and having it start to pour halfway through, it was a pretty good run. I had to stop a few times to wipe the rain off my glasses, but other than that, it was smooth and steady. The cooler temps helped, too.

Today’s run will be much warmer, sunny, and hopefully just as nice.

The fog really feels as if it’s starting to lift… all over my world.
